Weh Island (or We) is a small volcanic island which is located in the northwest of the island of Sumatera. The island was once connected with the island of Sumatera, but then separated by sea after a volcanic eruption the last time in the Pleistocene era. The island is located in the Andaman Sea. The largest city Weh Island Sabang is a city located in the most western Indonesia.
To visit the Island Weh, from Banda Aceh, you can use the ferry in the morning the port of Ulee Lheue and arrived at Gapang Beach. The trip will only take a few hours, or 45 minutes if you decide to ride a speedboat. Or if you are from Medan, you can go to Banda Aceh in advance by bus or plane.
