Display sports car from Mazda MX-5

Home modifications named Bauer Limited Production of the United States of America, introduce the results of their first work under the name Catfish. This car was designed by Ron Hemphill shared modifier, Tony and Dave Woodford Green's.


Three modifier combines the ideas of their thought to be a form of unique custom sports car. Tony Woodford came from AWR Racing and Dave Green's from DG Motorsports.


The sports car is made using the base Mazda MX-5, or known as Miata. Roadster car types have been selected for two passenger car with an open roof that has a ratio of 50:50 weight distribution. It is also a lightweight sports car at an affordable price.
True to its name, the design concept is also very similar to Catfish catfish body with tapered head and flat.
The exterior is modified include the hood, trunk, doors, bumpers, roof, frame, suspension systems, headlights and the entire interior of the car. In fact, for the original chassis Mazda MX-5 models use unibody structure is converted into Dakar rally car style.
The key concept in making this car was to create a solid body structure with weights as light as possible. However, the modifier Bauer maintaining steady handling and agile car. This modification results Catfish weights just 680 kg or 317 kg lighter than the standard Mazda MX-5.
For the engine used is still unknown whether the MX-5 engine capacity of 1.6 or 1.8 liters. But Catfish car is claimed to go faster than the standard Mazda MX-5 alone. This is because the distribution of power to weight rodater
suppor twith a much lighter car.
Catfish design was first drawn by Greg Tada, a graduate student Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, currently working as a designer at American Suzuki. Tada admitted, inspired by the form of catfish and make it happen on the car.
Car Catfish unique modification of Mazda MX-5 will be at present in the SEMA Show, Las Vegas, USA, late October 2012.
